Hello, has anyone attempted to connect Apamaa to crypto exchanges like Poloniex? Will we need to write our own adapter in Java?

    Hi,

Software AG have implemented connectivity to a Bitcoin using the BitcoinJ Java library for a client project but this is not an open source project and unfortunately is not shareable on the Apama Community site at this time. If you are a Software AG customer then you can contact us via your account manager and we can share more information with you.

    Regards,
    Rob

Thanks Rob, I guess my question was more about bitcoin trading, instead of bitcoin itself. In the same way that Apama has been used successfully for algo trading in financial markets, it just seems to be me that it would be well suited for algo trading in the crypto markets, and there’s a lot of crypto exchanges out there these days e.g. poloniex, kraken, bitstamp and they all have CURL APIs to connect to them. So my question was whether people have already developed adapters for Apama for this purpose, because again, Apama seems to be the tool that is well suited to this type of task.

Hi. I think you’re right, in that Apama would be a great tool as part of a Bitcoin trading app. I don’t know of anybody doing this right now, but I may not have heard of some of the newer or smaller projects out there that may be doing so. If you put something together, please let me know how you get on!
    Cheers, Rob.
